Originally from Barbados, Leah grew up dancing whether it was ballet, tap, jazz, reggae, latin etc., so when the opportunity came to try pole fitness she jumped on it. She loves the fitness aspect of the sport & using her dance background, she contributes gracefulness. After moving to Collingwood, ON, Leah decided to offer classes (at Head Over Heels Gymnastics Club) as it was the one thing missing from the community & with open arms she welcomes you!
Leah is a certified instructor through Vertical Dance Ltd., located in the UK, with KT Coates, now the president of the International Pole Sports Federation.
As a certified pole fitness instructor I am passionate about tailoring my classes to the specific needs of my clients. Vertical Fit is committed to teaching pole fitness in a small, private and intimate setting so you can leave feeling confident and accomplished.
At Vertical Fit we work on increasing your strength, improving coordination and flexibility in a challenging yet fun environment using a metal, vertical pole. We begin with basic spins and build on our skills to help increase not only your strength but your confidence. As our classes progress you will have the knowledge and experience to begin inversions safely and effectively. Having prior experience on a pole or a foundation of upper body strength is not essential to start pole fitness, which makes Vertical Fit a great class for anyone looking for something new! Don’t let the stereotype fool you… pole fitness is an incredible workout for any fitness level & a lot of fun!
